BEVERLY BOULEVARD MEDIAN PROJECT & BEVERLY BOULEVARD ARRA REHABILITATION PROJECT, PICO RIVERA, CALIFORNIA
Kabbara Engineering prepared conceptual median alignments, and preliminary and final civil engineering design for the street, median and pavement improvement of Beverly Boulevard from the East City Limits at the San Gabriel River Bridge to the West City Limits at the Rio Hondo River Bridge (1.5 miles). Kabbara Engineering performed field topographic survey, and prepared base maps, plans and profiles, cross sections, signing and striping plans, geotechnical report and pavement recommendations, utility coordination, specifications, cost estimates, federal funding compliance coordination, and construction engineering support for these local and federally funded projects. The proposed improvements included ARHM pavement overlays, full depth pavement reconstruction, and repair of damaged sections of curb and gutter, cross-gutters, driveways, sidewalks, and curb ramps. Kabbara Engineering was the lead consultant responsible for coordination with the Central Basin Municipal Water District for construction of a 30″ DIP recycled water transmission main and service laterals within the project limits, and for incorporating landscape, irrigation, and traffic signal modification plans, specifications and estimates prepared by other City consultants, into the final PS&E package for bidding and construction purposes.
