STORM DAMAGED STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (ISTEA), COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA
The Kabbara Engineering design team to prepare improvement plans, specifications and construction cost estimates for the repair of various storm damaged streets in the City of Costa Mesa, including Redhill Avenue, Fair Drive, Sunflower Avenue, MacArthur Boulevard, Placentia Avenue and the total reconstruction of a portion of South Coast Drive. This was a federally funded project that included submittal and processing through Caltrans District 12. Kabbara Engineering was responsible for performing the field topographic surveys in AutoCAD format and preparing the improvements including traffic control, detour, striping and providing bus pad and shelter reconstruction, cross gutter, median curb, and curb and gutter reconstruction. Project included preparation of a Geotechnical investigation with pavement analysis and recommendations, including lime treated base for South Coast Drive. Also included processing and obtaining Caltrans Certification of PS&E (E76 form) for the project.
