S.S. #510, 526 & 527 STREET REHABILITATION, DOWNEY, CALIFORNIA
Kabbara Engineering was responsible for the preparation of field topographic survey, pavement recommendations, and final improvement plans, specifications and estimates for the rehabilitation and repair of forty-four (44) (approximately 9.5 miles) residential and arterial streets in the City of Downey. This project included field marking and repair of localized damaged curb, gutters, root pruning, sidewalks, driveways and local depressions. Also included preparation of legal descriptions and exhibits for street right-of-way dedications as required to achieve ADA compliant paths of travel on New Street in Downtown Downey. Pavement rehabilitation strategies included edge grind with asphalt concrete overlays, total reconstruction of the pavement section with full depth asphalt concrete over native materials and localized reconstruction of failed pavement areas as determined in the field.
