STREET REVITALIZATION PROJECT, UPLAND, CALIFORNIA
The Kabbara Engineering design team prepared conceptual and final engineering design plans, specification and estimates for the revitalization and rehabilitation of three blocks of “C” Street in the historical downtown area of the City of Upland, California. This project consisted of narrowing the existing street to provide wider pedestrian oriented sidewalks and allow for angled on-street parking. The Kabbara Engineering team prepared detailed field survey of the project area, and worked closely with the City’s planning and engineering departments to develop historically sensitive, fresh, and cost effective landscape architecture and engineering design for this proposed expansion of the downtown development area. Kabbara Engineering was responsible for preparing geotechnical studies, construction plans, specifications and construction cost estimates for street and pavement reconstruction, including curb and sidewalk realignments, drainage improvements, landscaping planting, special hardscape and irrigation improvements, traffic control and construction phasing, traffic signing and striping, new water main improvements, including fire hydrant, meter and service upgrades, and conversion to and installation of a new City owned street lighting system.
