3RD STREET WATER DISTRIBUTION MAIN REPLACEMENT, DOWNEY, CALIFORNIA
This project consisted of the engineering design and preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for the replacement of the water distribution main on 3rd Street within the project limits. The work completed included furnishing and installing 8”diameter ductile iron pipe water distribution main including trenching, pipe installation, trench sheeting, shoring and bracing, chlorination and testing, connections, backfilling and compaction, temporary water service, thrust restraint, fire hydrant, domestic and fire services, valves, fire hydrant, and all labor tools, materials, fittings and appurtenances necessary to complete the work. The project also consisted of utility protection adjustments, relocation and reconstruction. Kabbara Engineering also provided traffic control per the Watch Manual, signing, temporary and permanent striping and pavement markings. A construction survey and storm water pollution prevention plan were also incorporated as part of this project as well as pavement reconstruction and temporary steel plating.
