TRUNK SEWER CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY STREET, GARDEN GROVE, CALIFORNIA
Kabbara Engineering prepared a sewer study to examine the existing trunk sewer system and locate the existing deficiencies. The study included review of the existing system capacity including the O.C.S.D. trunk mains and obtaining a telemetering study to review quantify the effluent from the Dye Factory which was the primary user. Design alternatives included reconstruction, and parallel line or the construction of a secondary system to a different main trunk. Upon review of the probable construction cost and the cost of factory shutdown, the parallel line was determined to be the most feasible solution. Kabbara Engineering prepared plans and specifications for the 667 l.f. of 18″ vcp sewer line. This project was multi-jurisdictional, requiring review and approval by the City of Garden Grove, Garden Grove Sanitation District and Orange County Sanitation District.
